This 4th Growth Cru Classé is blessed with an exceptional deep gravel terroir, with clay-rich subsoil that provides particularly excellent conditions for Cabernet-Sauvignon, the varietal most readily associated with fine wines from the Bordeaux region. Inaugurated in 2017, the new cellars are perfectly adapted to the vineyard's plot-selection, allowing each terroir to reveal its depth and complexity to the fullest extent.
Aspirant de Beychevelle, an on-trade exclusive, is the château's latest release. Grown and bottled on site, this accessible wine nonetheless demonstrates the property's characteristic finesse. Produced in small quantities, Aspirant de Beychevelle is available from the 2016 vintage, the first to be produced at Beychevelle's new cellars.
