Château de la Botinière

is located between the Loire communes of Mouzillon and Vallet, in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine appellation.

Its vineyard is mostly planted with Melon de Bourgogne, or Muscadet. This varietal, with its characteristic rounded leaves, was exported from its native Burgundy in the 16th century, making the journey down the Loire to the Nantes region.

Château de la Botinière

Château de la Botinière is a fruity, aromatic and easy-to-drink Muscadet. The property's deep clay soils contribute to the wine's compact structure and characteristic notes of orange peel. The gneiss-heavy plots are equally important. Its colour is pale yellow with flashes of green. The nose is classic Muscadet, complex with notes of fruit, and a touch of liquorice. On the palate, Château de la Botinière offers good body and delicate balance.
